Maykestag Solid Carbide Corner Radius End Mill 10mm R0.5 Speedcut Universal ALUNIT-S
Professional 10mm Speedcut Universal solid carbide corner radius end mill with a precise 0.5mm corner radius, long-series neck-relieved design, 4 flutes, unequal 35°–38° spiral angles and ALUNIT-S® coating for high-performance milling.
The Maykestag Code 6447 Speedcut Universal is a precision HPC milling cutter engineered for productive machining across a broad range of engineering materials. This 10mm version combines solid carbide construction with a 0.5mm corner radius, a relieved neck and four cutting flutes, creating a rigid and stable cutting geometry for accurate profiling, contouring, shoulder milling and general precision milling operations.
Its unequal 35°–38° spiral geometry provides a progressive cutting action, while the long-series neck-relieved construction gives valuable clearance behind the cutting section. Manufactured to DIN 6527 L, the cutter features a cylindrical DIN 6535-HA shank and Maykestag’s specified ALUNIT-S® coating.
A corner radius end mill combines the useful flat cutting face of an end mill with a defined radius between the end cutting edge and the outside diameter. The radius removes the fragile sharp corner found on a conventional square-end cutter and creates a stronger cutting-edge transition. The 0.5mm radius on this 10mm cutter provides a subtle, controlled internal radius while reinforcing the cutting corner, making it particularly useful for profiling, shoulder milling and contoured machining where dimensional accuracy and cutting-edge strength are important.

Why Choose Maykestag?
Maykestag cutting tools are developed for professional machining environments where geometry, dimensional accuracy and repeatable performance matter. The Speedcut family combines precisely defined cutter geometries with high-performance tool materials and specialised coatings, helping machinists select the correct tool for both the machining operation and workpiece material.
The Code 6447 Speedcut Universal series combines solid carbide construction, ALUNIT-S® coating, unequal spiral geometry and a neck-relieved long-series design. This 10mm version features four cutting flutes and a precisely manufactured 0.5mm corner radius, creating a versatile milling cutter for profiles, shoulders and contoured features where rigidity, accessibility and dimensional accuracy are important.
Built for Precise Universal Milling
The combination of the 10mm cutting diameter, 0.5mm corner radius and relieved 9.50mm neck gives this cutter an excellent balance of rigidity, cutting-edge strength and accessibility. Its four-flute configuration provides multiple cutting edges for productive milling, while the unequal 35°–38° spiral angles support a smooth and progressive cutting action. When used with the correct spindle speed, feed rate, toolholding and machining strategy, the Code 6447 is designed to deliver accurate and repeatable milling performance across its recommended material groups.
