Maykestag Solid Carbide Corner Radius End Mill 2mm R0.2 Speedcut Universal ALUNIT-S
Professional 2mm Speedcut Universal solid carbide corner radius end mill with a precise 0.2mm corner radius, long-series neck-relieved design, 3 flutes, unequal 35°–38° spiral angles and ALUNIT-S® coating for high-performance milling.
The Maykestag Code 6447 Speedcut Universal is a precision HPC milling cutter designed for productive machining across a broad range of engineering materials. This 2mm version combines a solid carbide cutting body with a small 0.2mm corner radius, a relieved neck and three cutting flutes, giving the cutter the strength and clearance required for accurate profiling, contouring, shoulder milling and other precision milling operations.
Its unequal 35°–38° spiral geometry is designed to provide a controlled cutting action, while the long-series neck-relieved construction gives additional access around the cutting section. The cutter is manufactured to DIN 6527 L, features a cylindrical DIN 6535-HA shank and is finished with Maykestag’s ALUNIT-S® coating.
A corner radius end mill combines the versatility of a flat-ended milling cutter with a small radius between the end cutting edge and the outside diameter. This radius removes the sharp corner found on a conventional square-end cutter and provides a stronger transition at the cutting edge. The 0.2mm radius on this cutter is particularly useful where a small controlled internal radius, strong cutting edge and clean transition between machined surfaces are required.

Why Choose Maykestag?
Maykestag cutting tools are developed for professional machining environments where geometry, dimensional accuracy and repeatable performance matter. The Speedcut family combines carefully defined cutter geometries with application-specific tool materials and coatings, allowing the machinist to select a cutter according to both the machining operation and the workpiece material.
The Code 6447 Speedcut Universal series brings together solid carbide construction, ALUNIT-S® coating, unequal spiral geometry and a neck-relieved long-series design. For this 2mm cutter, Maykestag specifies three flutes and a finely controlled 0.2mm corner radius, making it a particularly capable tool for smaller precision-milling features where accessibility and cutting-edge strength are important.
Built for Precise Universal Milling
The combination of the 2mm cutting diameter, 0.2mm corner radius and relieved 1.95mm neck allows this cutter to work accurately in detailed machining areas while maintaining clearance behind the cutting edge. Its three-flute configuration provides useful chip space for a cutter of this diameter, while the unequal 35°–38° spiral angles support a smooth, progressive cutting action. Used with the correct spindle speed, feed rate, toolholding and machining strategy, the Code 6447 is designed to provide accurate, repeatable milling performance across its recommended material groups.
