The Maykestag Series 1057 is a precision HSS-Co8 slot end mill with a radiused
cutting end, designed for accurate machining of slots, curved profiles,
rounded transitions and contoured surfaces. The two-flute, centre-cutting
geometry provides a versatile cutting action for both end and peripheral
milling operations, while the short-series construction provides increased
rigidity and helps reduce tool deflection during machining. The ALUNIT®
coating provides a hard TiAlN-based surface coating designed to reduce
friction, heat load and cutting-edge wear, supporting increased cutting

radius is a milling cutter with a rounded cutting-end profile rather than a
conventional sharp square end. This geometry allows the tool to produce
rounded slot bottoms, curved profiles and smooth transitions while still
