Maykestag Solid Carbide End Mill Speedcut-Aluminium 20.00mm Z3 DIN 6535-HB
Weldon
Professional 20.00mm Maykestag Speedcut-Aluminium solid carbide end mill
manufactured in Type W geometry with three cutting edges, different spiral
angles and a long, necked design. The uncoated cutter features a DIN 6535-HB
Weldon shank and is specifically developed for high-performance machining of
aluminium, with additional suitability for copper, brass and plastics.
The Maykestag Code 7950 Speedcut-Aluminium is a
high-performance solid carbide end mill designed specifically for aluminium
machining. Its long-series, necked configuration combines a stable solid
carbide construction with three cutting edges and different spiral angles of
34°–38° to promote efficient chip evacuation, high cutting performance and
excellent surface quality.
The 20.00mm version has a 20.00mm h6 Weldon shank, 104mm
overall length, 38mm cutting length and 54mm neck length. Its
Type W geometry, 45° head form and 0.25mm protection chamfer
are designed for demanding aluminium milling applications where high material
removal rates and stable cutting performance are required.
end mill provides additional reach compared with a conventional short end mill
while reducing the diameter of the tool body behind the cutting section. This
configuration provides clearance around deeper or recessed features while
retaining the cutting geometry required for productive milling.

Why Choose Maykestag Speedcut-Aluminium?
Maykestag develops specialised solid carbide milling cutters with
application-focused geometries for demanding professional machining. The
Speedcut-Aluminium range is designed specifically for aluminium machining,
including both cast and wrought aluminium alloys, where high cutting
volumes, efficient chip evacuation and good surface quality are important.
The Code 7950 combines Type W geometry, three cutting
edges, different spiral angles, a long-series necked configuration and solid
carbide construction. The optimised geometry is designed to provide stable
cutting performance, efficient chip transport and high material removal
rates while maintaining a high-quality machined surface.
Designed for High-Performance Aluminium Milling
Aluminium machining requires a cutter geometry that can remove large
quantities of material while controlling chip formation and maintaining
cutting stability. The Speedcut-Aluminium’s specialised Type W geometry and
variable 34°–38° spiral angles are designed specifically around these
requirements.
The long, necked configuration provides additional reach and
clearance around the cutting section. This makes the cutter particularly
useful when machining deeper pockets, recessed features and components where
additional tool clearance is required.
